  1. In the book Dear Bruce Springsteen we read from pages 100-134

Terry is at home now and his mom is making terry do a bunch of chores, Terry's mom is making him do all of the chores to keep his mind of his dad. The character's are drawn from the apartment's that Terry describe. The author's attitude coward's the character's is quiet, happy, and love quiet because Terry's mom doesn't wont Terry to remind him about his dad happy because Terry is ok and his concert went great. Love because terry was going out with the girl he liked and he raised over 1000 dollars after the concert. All the characters are 3 dimensional except Charlene, Mrs. mackinon, Mrs. Lamb, band mates and the hitch hiker guys. character development did occur and character delineation was direct.

Some major theme's is when Terry is back home doing chores for his mom, another theme is when nick goes to Terry's house more often and Terry start's changing his mind about Nick this is revealed when Nick tells Terry more about himself. another theme is Terry doing the concert it's revealed when Terry start's holding audition's and start's practicing. the last theme is revealed is when Terry has to do chores for his mom.The theme's are all new and original because they were all developed and revealed all the theme's are purpose Terry's mom made Terry do the chores Terry decided to do the concert and Nick purposely tried to show terry that he wasn't a bad person.

The writing style is very clear there is humor love and happiness. there is rhythm in the writing. the dialogue isn't affective because there is none. Terry's dad writes back to Terry like he promised and school is starting for Terry soon.

Terry start's to hold audition's for the concert and terry got a drummer and keyboarder for the band and setting everything up, because the concert is in a week in a half. during the concert Terry and his band raised over 1000 dollar's and during the song Terry danced with Joanne after the concert finished Terry talked to Joanne on the phone for over an hour and made a date with her.

Later Terry's mom and Nick made the decision that they were getting married. the Smith's reaction were really great when Terry told them that they raised 1000 dollars for them the Smith's told Terry that they were going to spend the money on bedroom furniture cloth's for the kid's and the rest they are going to put away for Christmas.

  2. In this reading section, all of the answers to "is Bruce Springsteen going to write back?" are answered. Sadly, the answer is no, but if he did write, the story and plot would continue. If he did, there would be more suspence in the book of what would happen next. Also Tery got much mature scince the book started in the way that he was going to allow his mom to marry Nick and to keep his promise to keep in touch with his dad. In this reading section, I belive that there are no accidents in what Terry does. Terry thinks of it, then does it.

The suspence for this reading section would be if Joanne likes Terry and if Bruce Springsteen will write. Also if the concert will be good. The only complicated thing in Terry's life during this reading section is about the concert and who will be preforming. The only sub-plots in this reading section are Sean's life with Tonya and his mom's marriage with Nick. The main plot for the entire book is Terry's life and what he writes about. The plot for the entire book is 100% primary because if there was no plot, the book would fall apart.

  3. I am commenting on Leor's blog. Everything he stated was true, except for the fact that there was dialogue. In Terry's letter's, he writes about the dialogues that he and his mom had, with Sean, with the Smith's and many more people. Also, I fully agree that the author writes with love, happiness, and quietness. Nick coming to Terry's house more offten is a theme and Terry doing more chores. Everything else is correct and I agree with it.

  5. In this reading section between pages 100-134, we learned a lot more about the characters and Terry. All of the characters are drawn from the same person, Terry. We have learned about many people from him throughout the book such as, his family, his friends and even the people he doesn’t like so much, his teachers. In this reading section we hear about Joanne. We find out that Terry really likes Joanne because she’s not stuck-up and rude like some of the other girls in his class.

The author’s attitude is still very good to the characters. The author has done a very good job at introducing new characters one at a time with information and he tells us whether or not Terry likes them. As an example, when Terry introduced Kristy or Joanne it was with enthusiasm and excitement, but when he introduced one of his teachers there was no respect or excitement.

Almost all of the characters are three-dimensional. The author has done a good job of giving information on all of the characters. Character delineation is both direct and indirect depending on the character.
Character development does occur in many different occasions.

This has been a great book to read, and a great reading section.

  6. I agree with both Leor, and Oren's blog posts this week. I like how Oren talked about how in this section the suspense is whether or not Bruse Springsteen will write back to Terry because that is pretty much the main theme in the book. I also agreed with Leor when he talked about the writing style and that there was humour love and happiness which there was.
