  1. This reading section was very interesting to me. It had many new characters and that is what I am writing about. All of the characters are introduced by Terry. They come from his personal experiences. The authors attitude towards his characters is angry or not good. Nick, the people that picked up Terry from the highway, and Charlene are all bad people in Terry's eyes.

All of the new people introduced in this reading section are flat characters. They are Charlene, the people that picked up Terry from the highway and Terry's dad's band mates. Also Mrs. Lamb, and Terry's neighbour from previous reading sections. There are both direct and indirect character delineation. The people that picked up Terry are indirect, Charlene and Terry's dad are direct, and everyone else in the book is indirect including Terry, Sean, Terry's mom, and many more.

  2. My response is to Oren Terry never said that Charlene was bad but Terry told his mom tha she was a bit of a jerk and the same for the highway people after a while Terry thought that the driver was a half decent person. Otherwise i agree on everything else

  3. In the book Dear Bruce Springsteen we read from pages 74-100.

In this reading section Terry's mom talks to terry to tell him that she and her husband are getting a divorce. This is one of the major themes in the reading section another one is when Terry really need to see his dad and decides to lie to his mom and goes to visit him.

The themes are revealed when Terry's mom tells Terry. The other theme is revealed when Terry writes to Bruce Springsteen that he has had enogh and that he wants to see his dad.

the themes are new and orignal because they're just developed and revealed. The theme is all purpose because when Nick showed up for dinner Terry purposly showed him that he didnt want him there.

The characters are drawn from the apartment the letters that Terry wrote from Callum and from Terry's dads apartment. The authors attitude towards the characters is happy or angry. All the charcaters are 3 dimensional excepy Mrs Mackinon and Mrs lamb.

Every characters delination is direct except for Mrs lamb, mrs Mackinon, and Charlene. The setting is in Terry's dads apatment and it plays a significant role.

  4. I am commenting on Leor's blog. I disagreed with him when he said that the chracters are drawn from the apartment. Terry is the one that tells us about them, they might be in the apartment, but Terry is the only one that can tell us about chracters in this book, because of the way it is written.
