Characters: 1.The characters are drawn from Terry's house, the beach, and at Terry's school. 2.The authors attitude towards the characters is happy because Terry's family is happy in this section when Terry gets a 53 in his math exam and passes the rest of his exams. 3.The characters are 3dimensional all of them except Mr.s lamb and Mr.s Mackinnon. 4.Yes all of the characters have developed through the story except Mr.s Lamb and Mr.s Mackinnon. 5.Character delineation is direct.
Theme: 1.The major theme in this section would be that Terry is trying to find a girlfriend. Even though he may not think he wants a girlfriend, we know by the way he is acting that he really does. 2.The theme is revealed when Kristy goes to Terry and complements him. and it is developed when Terry writes to Bruce Springsteen telling him his thoughts and if he is going to ask Kristy out. 3.The theme is very original, yet still familiar. 4.The theme is purpose because Kristy purposely said what she said.
Plot: 1. The various elements of pot are handled by some suspense i think because a girl just complimented Terry and Terry talks on the phone with her what next. 2.The characters change through the plot by doing different things such as Terry going out with Kristy or trying to go out with her and spensding summer vacation with Sean. 3. There is no extent in accident employed as a complicating resolving force, Because Kristy didnt accidentally complimebt Terry and TErry didnt accidentally pass his math exam. 4. The elmets of mystery and suspense is Bruce Springsteen going to read Terry's letters or replie to them. 5.Some complications is wen Terry and Kristy try to make a plans but their both busy. They are resolving this issue by making a time they arent busy. 6.There are no subplots. 7. The plot is primary when Terry starts talking with Kristy and asking when a good time would be to go out.
style: -The book is written in Terry's style of writing and sometimes uses slang. -Appropiate writing style for our age. -Terry writes his letters with thought and humour. -Terry talks about how his mom tels him everything that goes around in the hospital. -Terry talks about nick names for Jenkins eg Jerkins. -and the dialogue isnt affective.
